We welcome clear, original pitches that help general readers understand movement, training, exercise formats, fitness habits or the culture around physical activity.
What to pitch
Propose an article with one central question and a defined reader takeaway. Strong pitches explain why the topic is worth understanding, what the piece will clarify and how it differs from familiar general advice. We welcome explanations, comparisons, background pieces, thoughtful examinations of common assumptions and occasion-specific guides that remain useful over time.
A careful approach
Keep claims proportionate and terms clear. Avoid presenting personal experience as proof, promising results or giving individualised medical or training prescriptions. A pitch should not depend on first-hand testing, unsupported statistics or claims that require readers to act without checking relevant professional guidance.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to send your pitch. Include a proposed title, the central question, a short outline and a note about any relevant experience or potential conflicts. Please send a proposal rather than a completed article unless we have agreed otherwise; submission does not guarantee publication.
Understanding comes before routine
Fitness is easier to approach when the terms, choices and trade-offs are clear. We explain the thinking behind movement without prescribing a personal training plan.
